Daniel Norell studied architecture at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm and subsequently received a Master of Architecture degree from University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), where he was a Fulbright scholar. Prior to founding his own practice, he worked in the offices of Zaha Hadid Architects, Greg Lynn FORM and Kjellander & Sjöberg Architects. He is a registered architect in Sweden and the UK and a board member of the Stockholm Association of Architects.

Daniel is a founding partner of the research collective Krets and is currently a Senior Lecturer at Chalmers University, Dept of Architecture in Gothenburg and a Visiting Lecturer at the KTH in Stockholm.
